Rewatching Kingdom for the first time since 2010. (Which was 2 years ago––damn!) Not so enamoured of it this time.

you-are-receding:

The second half of this song is so fantastic and unexpected. Re-listening to Beatles songs is like digging through a bag of candy and you find a piece you love but didn’t remember was there. I love every single one though. I don’t think I could even come up with a top ten.

I love how the, I guess, style of the song keeps changing? It reminds me of some of Paul’s solo stuff or his stuff with Linda, like Band on the Run or Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. God I want to read a book on The Beatles.

Got it for Christmas. Purposely reading it slowly so I can enjoy it longer. Sooo good.

New Year’s Resolutions

  1. No reading race realism blogs. Just because it’s true doesn’t mean it’s going to help you in your life. Much better to get on with what you’re doing and don’t stress too much about politics––it makes little difference if you do, anyway.
  2. Drink a green smoothie every week.
  3. Publish the first four issues of your zine.
  4. Make $1500 over 30 days (i.e. in a month-long period).
  5. Have a 10+ minute conversation with at least 10 new people every month.

Cocktail, light ale, champagne, ouzo and smoke.
